tank range indicator

hi all, hope your all good.
2008 gs adv. in the last cpl of months i have ran out of petrol twice, with the comp saying i have 37 and 61 mile left. i realise this is just a guide but for the last two years it read lower miles left and a yellow triangle warning !!
has anyone any ideas or do i just fill up with 100 or so to go.

fill it up and when you run up 350 start to look for a fill up

could be that the fuel in the right side of the tank is not being transferred to the left side where the pump and level sensor are??
Search the forums, I think it is to do with the fuel pump not flowing enough fuel back through the sucking jet pump that transfers the fuel.

Not too helpful I know, but I get mine down to show about 8 miles before filling her! A 200 mile commute is the reason....Widnes eh?

Won't be needing street lights, all those chemicals make you all glow in the dark! ( Just kidding ). Up for a ride sometime? I work away but am home at odd times so gizza shout...

There is a known problem with the GSA's fuel level indicator. Don't trust it. As Zoot says,

fill it up and when you run up 350 start to look for a fill up
