I took my "05" 1150 GSA in today for it's 6000 mile service, whilst I was booking it in the chap asked if I had any problems...I mentioned that at the front of the petrol tank there is rust appearing in the seam/join. I was then told that B*W say "it is just rust colouring" and that no tanks have been changed under warranty, even though there have been many "not very happy" customers with the same fault. Oh and that the tank's never get any worse....
Surely "rust colouring" is infact rust..and that one can assume that it WILL get worse over time?
Has anybody on here had the same...and if so what was the outcome?
The service chap also went on to tell me of problems with crash bars and fork braces that B*W are aware of, but not doing anything about, by this I take it that B*W think it's ok for the bikes to corrode and we'll just accept it
