Just spotted this on fleaBay:

Its brand new and currently at £90 with a part number of 7160-770-9149. According to the vendor, although it was ordered for a 2006 Adventure, he claims it will fit the later models (+2008). So, does any bright Tosser know if he is right about fitting the Mk2 GSA and, if yes, how much these are at BMW dealers?

I'd query that they fit later models. Cost around £160 18 months ago.

Old one velcro on the tank
New one attach to the service book holder at the back of the tank

That makes a lot more sense although the new one as shown in the BMW catalogue does look different. Anyhow, the auction finished and I decided not to bid just in case.

It's not fot '09 model

I got this item & finally found that it was not fit my '09 gs ???:
The rear mounting (should be fitted under the seat) is the way too short to reach tank cover end under the seat & there is a velcro near the zipper (only the hook part) which will scratch my tank cover painting as it face in.

It appears basically the same bag. i have the one for the 2008 GS which has one half of the zip bolted behind the service book holder. looking at mine you may be able to adapt the older one.

Consider a couple of lengths of seat belt fabric ( stanley knife and pennies) from a scrap yard.
Stitch the seat belt to seat part of zip holder, the one on your puchase which would have velcroed to the tank.

Fit rings with leather hole punch to align with bolts on book holder. the seat belt will be out of sight
Cheap adaption to a bargain purchase
