Ive had a set of these for 2 years and there just coming to end of life, but i do do high mileages. Best boots ive owned, feet have always been dry no matter how bad it has rained/snowed. looking for deals no to replace them with the same.

I had these boots for 2 years and now the've fallan apart but they did cover 50,000 miles in all weathers and never ever let any water in. Baught a summer pair of boots for now, but will be getting another pair of these for winter again.

Infinity Boots

Bought mine when they were the Oxtar Brand and picked them up cheap when they were clearing stock due to the enforced legal case name change to TCX.
Now covered 50K miles in all seasons, without a drop of water getting through. Also spent many a day wandering about in them - very comfortable.
Still looking good - highly recommended.
Cheers
Mac

Are any happy TCX (or HG equivalent) owners able to tell me if they fit under their trousers?

I'm looking to replace my existing (HG) boots because they are too loose. However, the good thing about them is that they fit under my trousers, so rain doesn't trickle into the boots.

TIA

Richard

I think I'll depend on how big your calves/boots are. I'm a relatively slim person and my boots do up most of the way. I have no problem getting my Rukka Armas trousers over the top and then zipped up snugly over the boots. One of the good things about the rukka trousers is that they don't have the goretex exposed on the inside of the trousers so it can't be damaged by the buckles.

Slim calves is possibly the reason why my existing HG boots don't feel terribly secure. Might take a wander over to their Maidstone branch with my winter and summer trousers.

HG boots fit fine under Aerostich and Rev 'It Dakar trousers - had mine nearly 3 years now (were £119 then), covered around 60k and had bad crash which did not leave a mark on the boots apart from scratched metal clasps - still comfortable to ride and walk in and completely waterproof.

Bought my first pair of TCX Infinity boots Aug 08 and replaced under warranty as one developed a leak. Replacement pair have now done 15k road miles and have both developed leaks, the left one leaking big time and both from the toes. Pity as they are really comfy and winter warm which is great. I'm tempted to try Sidi Courier (Discovery) boots this time as they're similar price to the Infinity and seem to be very well made. Think I have just been unlucky with the Infinity boots but I would like something which lasts more than a couple of years. Anyone got experience of the Couriers?

The only boots I now buy for waterproof ability are Sidi Rain. I had my first set for 5 years and only threw them as I wore the sole out, I bought a pair of Alpinstars off road boots and had them less than 6 months before I had a leak so back to Sidi rain. Perfect Quality boots.

boots

just replaced mine after 6 years, warm waterproof and very comfy. They eventually gave up the ghost at the stiching across the front of the ankle, great boots.

Had both, currently using the TXC, I found (at the time) the Sidi boots didn't give me any feel on the brake pedal & had tended to have a wider fit - which was more of the issue
