Does anyone please know the diameter of the TDC locking pin that can be inserted through the hole in the left side of the engine?

Thanks

So that's what the holes for.:blast:augie
Someone setting their ignition timing then?.

It would be the same size as this screwdriver. Maybe you can cut this down.

I use a drill bit. In fact i would use a drill bit, but i've never had too use that method in the last 15 years :D

Thrashing/knocking noise from under front engine cover. Not alternator belt. Taking front cover off to check timing chain and tensioner, and anticipating having to lock engine at TDC to remopve pulley and if sprockets and chain have to come off.

Thanks for link Hank. Did think about drill bit Steptoe, but want something with a bit of length and an angle or two in it, as the hole is a bit difficult to access. Figuratively speaking...
