Reliving bike trips whilst sat at my desk....
Apart from getting a bike to run at the correct mixture with can and K&N, what is the scope for these chips and plug-ins?

Once in, can you flick from one setting to another, and hence a different ignition map like changing the cat-code plug, or is it stuck at what ever the workshop set it on?

I'm specifically thinking if you could have such a chip in place to run well on a given set-up, then if you fill up on low-octane fuel somewhere, hey presto, flick of a switch and the bike can run on low octane better thyan it might.

Pie in the sky or feasible?

you could do that with the standard 1150 setup. instead of fitting a cat code plug, wire socket to a switch.

you could do the same with a BB chip & get different maps.

don't think you could do it with a techlusion. not so simple anyway.

sounds like a lot of effort to avoid having to switch CCPs once in a blue moon :eek

Techlusion thingy

Is that the small credit card computer add on from Wunderlich?
Because my BF has one on his 1200 and it has made it more smooth through the gears (pity it did nothing for him :augie )
Still he plays with that and adjusts it so he says.
While he is doing that he's not fiddling with me on the bike so no complaints there.:)
