I need to change the battery in my "keyless" key.

I've read the flippin' manual. It simply says "push the battery cover up".

Now, my learned friends, does this mean slide it away and in the opposite direction to the metal key part, or does it mean lever it up away from the key body?? The instruction seems a little ambiguous now that I have the key in my hand. I'm off on a trip in a couple of days so the last thing I want to do is to force it and break it.

Can anyone advise on this simple point??

Thanks,
Andy

are you opening the key first? You then push your thumbs into the groove and push off the cover. It's pretty obvious and covers about half of the plain side of the fob furthest from the hinge

Ah - so flip open the key and then prise the two halves apart. Yep - got it!

Never changed the battery before so it was pretty stiff and I wondered if I was doing it wrong.

Thanks for your assistance Wessie (y)
