Is replacing the telelever ball joint realistic as a DIY job?. It's only the gaiter that has split, the joint being OK, but apparently the gaiter isn't available on it's own. Before I read the Haynes, which talks of heating the bottom yoke to 120 C to remove the ball joint, which I don't fancy doing, I thought to remove the lower bolt holding the front suspension unit to allow the telelever arm to drop to provide the clearance to get the joint out.
