telelever lower ball joint - alternatives

Years ago I heard that the balljoint on a Austin Metro front lower suspension wishbone was the same as that used on a telelever ball joint.

Sherlocks want £72 for one, I'd bet BMW want twice that. I bought one a few years back from Partco for about £20 but don't have it anymore.

Can anyone confirm they are the same, or suggest an alternative?

Try M/works for a 2nd hand one. They had a box full when I bought one 3 years ago as they usually don't have a prob.
