Anybody use an Android TV Box?
We're spending so little time in France these days that it doesn't seem worth paying for Canal+ anymore. (We ditched CanalSat last year.) Anyway, we thought, we can always realign our dish and plug in the old Humax Freesat box for UK television. Unfortunately, Astra 28 (or whichever) have shrunk their footprint and to pick up the signal in Southern France, you need a huge dish, which cannot be safely attached to the chimney pot ...
However, the guy in the TV shop said that, if it was UK TV that we wanted, we should consider an Android box. We've Googled and although we've found plenty for sale on Amazon for under 100€ and a few reviews on YouTube, we are still at a bit of a loss as to how they actually pick up TV signals.
Can anyone provide an idiot-proof explanation?
