Tell me about Wales

pm me

I can give you a load of info.

When are you over? - I could put on a BBQ for the septics if I am free.

I'm keen on international biker hospitality thang, having had a ton of good times in many places over the years.

You never conquered us we fell over.

I can't really argue with the rest:D

Don't know much about the roads, but I do know castles and the Merkins do love a bit of history :thumb2
(as they only have ten minutes worth over there I guess :green gri)

Conwy castle

Caernarfon castle,

String half a dozen decent castles together with a few nice roads and a few churches and you'd have a nice themed trip :thumb

North from welshpool through llanfillin, to Bala, SO to trawnsfynedd. Lovely road:thumb2

Did that route just this sunday gone on a Triumph Explorer  -tried to go over via Lake Vyrnwy, but the snow was too much (but then was hardly any better on the main road) Awsesome day out riding - but near froze to death! Got a couple of pics, but can't post 'em.

Gotta love Wales!

You missed what is recognised worldwide as one of the best examples of its kind...... Newport Castle, and we're still fighting most weekends:thumb2

Fighting in Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, any other S Wales town of a weekend...no surprises really :D

Don't think i've ever been to Newport Castle though TBH.....My interest is more in the 10th-11th century Norman type designs....A quick Goggle tells me that Newport is a 12thC jobby.

They are city's Bill, city's, you new that though:D

Our castle has definitely been lived in! and it's where we get our Welsh name from, Casnewydd, The new castle in relation to Chepstow.

It's not really worth going out of your way to see:D

Yep been HDR'd slightly - taken early in morning an A458 - saw the sunrise in my mirrors and pulled over for the photo opportunity

Yup, fairly obvious it had been 'tweaked' (in a nice sense, no insult intended) but that's a great final product.....a wall-hanger for sure :thumb2

I had a nice day out with Cookieboy visiting an old ruin in North Wales a few weeks ago.

He showed us all his bikes, we had a nice chat and a cup of tea.

Take them to the Deeside Riviera. - Flint, Shotton, Prestatyn, Rhyl. Great restaurants & bars and there's a castle!

Thanks - couple more also from Wales (although you would be up a dirt track to be exactly where they were taken)

Of course going back to the original posters query

If you can spend a day off the bikes then one of the Great Little Trains might be an idea.
Festiniog Railway from Porthmadoc with a slate Cavern Trip will use a day easily
or
Snowdon Mountain Railway (recommend book this in advance) and more like a half day trip.

There are other Great Trains - those two are the best known

Who in there right mind would want to go to Wales, I ask you.
