Template 2012 TB

Hi guys, had to use the bike the past few days in the not so good weather, my seat and my legs are getting absolutely rotten and soaked! Does anyone have any templates for making rubber or plastic panels for the rear sub frame? or anyone have any good ideas to limit the mess?

I removed the "shovel" and fitted a rear mudguard/ numberplate extension. This, combined with a mudsling keeps the bike and me reasonable free of road crap.

Removed my Puig hugger because the fittings where shot (have new fittings on order) and in the mean time fitted a brand new Mudsling Max. I find the Mudsling on it's own completely ineffective apart from keeping the shock clean. The Puig or an Ilmberger hugger will be going back on........which ever fits best with the Mudsling.


I also have the "shovel" removed and a Touratech numberplate extender fitted. My boots and trousers (and whole rear end of the bike) got dirtier then they have gotten last weekend with just the Mudsling.

I fitted a hugger and later a Mudsling as well. Removing the hugger made zero difference to mud splatter. As @Greenman says, fit a Mudsling, remove the TUV shovel and fit a number plate extension. The bike will be much cleaner. I believe the only way to a really clean bike would be a hugger as used on the Britten 1000 that covered the top half of the rear wheel.
