Tent recommendation

Nah, the better one in my collection is the Hilleberg Kaitum 3GT! :D
I only take that if I know I’m going to a campsite due to its 5 metre length. Obviously a huge amount of sleeping and storage area in that one. :thumb2 Surprisingly though its pack size isn’t much different to the Allak 3. It’s even easier to put up but isn’t free standing which is why, if I’m wild camping, the Allak 3 gets the nod.
Again not cheap but will withstand almost everything nature can throw at it. I originally bought this for a big bike Iceland trip that never happened. :blast Hey ho.

Ffs, that qualifies as an Airbnb?! lol 😳
Have you started a will yet??

I have a Hileberg Rogen 2 AND a Hiliberg Akto too! :D
Oh, and 9 other tents. And 4 hammocks. :thumb2

This actually looks good. How much was tent and what’s the size/ weight of tent packed??

very similar to the blacktail 3 hotel but has shorter poles and is a 2 person, links below

No matter which tent manufacturer you decide on, I would always go for at least one more person than the number of people who plan to use it. 2 bodies in a 2 man tent is normally a squeeze, as is 3 in 3.

It may have been mentioned already but a Vango Galaxy 300, whilst not the lightest or smallest of pack sizes, gives good sleeping room for two and standing room for dressing/storage etc.

I’m 6’2” and found one of these perfectly fine when used as a two man.

Vango Exilir (as mentioned a few times above).is a decent compromise on weight, pack size and cost. Fairly easy to erect...

No, all genuine Hileberg tents bought brand new by me from Taunton Leisure. Apart from the Akto that I bought second hand from Doris on here.
Why?

I bought a 10 second tent.....says 10 seconds to erect it......wow, cool I thought....first attempt at campsite took me 45 mins...at my age, so think I will book a hotel, next trip.
Oh, and 1 hour to put it away afterwards..and carry all my gear back to bike 100 yards away. :homer Doh!

Just waiting with bated breath until the OP decides on which tent and why?!
I do love a camping soap opera! :camping

Hileberg, Hiliberg, Hilleberg. :hide
Quality, quality, quality.

I’m lucky enough to be able to afford the best tents around. I like to know that wherever I pitch up the tent will still be standing in the morning if an unexpected storm blows through. I’m normally at the top of mountains where that’s a big possibility. Pretty stupid not to really don’t you think? :nenau

Some people collect bikes, cars, memorabilia etc…… I collect tents. And I use them every week normally.

I think he's trying to take the piss due to you missing an 'L' out of Hilleberg.....

I couldn’t agree more ! They make some of the best tents available . I own three , the Akto, Nallo 2 GT and the Tarra, I have two sets of poles for the Tarra to make it double bullet proof.

I need to dig them out again !

I always slept soundly in mine confident in their capabilities . My only concern was on campsites leaving the tent as they are highly rated on thieves shopping lists !

I was having a bit of fun with you re the different spellings of the same thing . :thumb

I think the prices have gone through the roof with them now though.

Thanks all - some interesting comments here haha

I will likely go with one of the Hilleberg / Hileberg tents. Buy once cry once. Even when the Mrs doesn't come with, I'd still like a quality tent to make sure I always have a place to sleep.

We used to camp from our Jimny and Land Cruisers and we loved it, we just need to make sure we pack "light" and not take extra shit.

Again, thanks all! Ill post pictures when I get the tent...and the chairs...and the stove...and the sink, toilet, shower, make up room 😂

Very wise choice! :thumb2 You won’t go wrong with a Hilleberg. The Allak 3 is a superb all rounder.

Airbed choice is another good subject on here. :D

And cook systems.
