Terrible twins, a mini rebuild

Who's going to carry the beer from Sainsbury's now that you are going to be riding? :bounce1

I look forward to seeing you again at the weekend. :thumb2 Be careful on the wet grass.

How does he do it?!

...
Clever use of what i had until i can get some proper spacers made ...
... Not bad considering the disability's i have :thumb
:clap Ash has extra nuts - i'm not at all suprised. That explains a lot mate! :D
You have the Mojo of two men! :bow

Whilst on Bilco's Alaska trip Murdoch's 800 GS showed a range of about 325 miles cruising around 60mph, better than 85 mpg from the 16 litre tank (Mike says he can squeeze in 17 litres.) Mind you my 1150GS was managing almost 60mpg when checked.

I believe the 650's are supposed to be even more frugal:eek: You'll be making fuel if it gets any better!

A really nice job on the bike Ash and good luck with the weather for the BB weekend.

And looking at it and the lack of any exhaust dust, leads me to think it was taken off when new -

Trying to get it all done with time to spare for Thursday PM.

Looking good big boy! Given the fact that you had a 'spirited' ride to Alton on the day you collected it, i am guesing that they were not THAT loose, but like you say, it could have ended in disaster.

Anyway, its looking proper sorted now. I just hope you get good werather for its maiden voyage in its new clothing!

Old exhaust at top and replacement at bottom.
I turned the stainless clamp back to front getting rid of the scratches ;)

I noticed a few times the LAMP warning coming on and the full beam flickered on / off, mmmmmmm
So set about finding the obvious fault, traced it back to a near break in the cable [ must of been damaged in her former life ]
Luckily easy sorted -

Next, then side stand is a joke. But not a funny one , a so called Adventure bike.
The adventure would be trying to pick her up once she hsa sunk in to any soft ground :blast
