Just read the thread from start to finish, and am well impressed. You have done a first class job of the bike and should be proud of yourself. Top man.:beerjug:

Should keep some crap of the shock / rear end

<a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/840/003ycw.jpg/'><img src='http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/8200/003ycw.jpg' border='0'/></a><br>

After much research and thinking, i decided to replace my aging Zumo 550 with a new Zumo 350LM, the 550's are still fetching good money so i sold it.I think they will drop soon and i missed the little speed limit symbol that you get on the 660 [that i sold when they took my licence away in 2011 :tears] on the bottom right of the screen.
As i live in speed cameras hellsville, berks/oxon/wilts/hants borders i think it's a great asset when out bimbling............

so got myself a canbus lead from BMW and away we went -

3 numbered yellow wires on canbus lead -
1, don't use
2,Neutral or black lead
3, live or red lead
really is that simple............... ;)

plug is located on top of the battery fixing underneath the middle tank panel.

Garmin Zumo 350LM fitted

You can see the clocks when riding ;) and the beauty of hard wiring the sat via can bus rather than direct to the battery nav is when you switch of the ignition 3 mins later the sat nav switches off, so no flat battery's

Zumo 350LM -

Great search function and when you put in a destination it gives route options without going into navigation menu, very nice to handle as well more streamline than the 550, plus lifetime mapping updates that can handle the whole of NT Europe, rather than just regions.

used it on the way back from the cotswold and used the tracbac button, great idea ,it even shows you where you stopped and you can choose the date to trac bac 10/10 so far...

Also noticed today when i left NOG BMW dealers that as i approached a set of traffic lights on the pear tree roundabout it flashed " Red light traffic camera warning " on the screen and when in " bike mode " the buttons on the keyboard are bigger [ glove friendly ] than when in " car mode " .
