Out on the above for a couple of hours yesterday while my GS was being serviced.

Found out what a lot of folk on here already know, that is a great "wee" bike, very nimble with the 17in front wheel (as opposed to the GS).

Needs(for me) a higher seat - knees to much of a bend, bars raised 30mm and reangled, screen definitely, 80mph unbearable on the m'way.

Was also wondering if the gearing is different, seems nippy in the lower gear but longer legged in 6th?????

Very good in all, possible future bike.......

I think you'll find that overall the R is higher geared than the GS, it also has superior overall performance, faster acceleration and a higher top speed. On my R whilst in Germany the bike reached 146mph verified by gps, admittedly I was well over the tank and in an almost prone position behind the small screen.

Had my R sport since April and love it. I do miss my GSA, it was a great bike. It served me well and I had lots of fun. But this is different altogether. Obviously smaller, nimble to say the least. I put Givi V35s & V47 on it and toured northern France. It didn't bat an eyelid carrying all my usual gear. Plenty of heads turned along the way. I'll be keeping this one a while😋
