Test ride on the BMW GSA 2016 TE model

How did you do that mate i can only put the link up .........

Thanks for that , looks like you had a nice ride in the cold....great bike though I've just ordered an identical one with the toys , I`ve got a quick shifter on my RT but the GSA one seemed to be more precise, perhaps it needs hookin up to the computer again.
Did you ride your own bike back home or the car ? just as a comparison to to the GSA.

I drove home as i didn't fancy taking the gixxer out in the icy conditions , but 2 completely different bikes , every time i came up behind other traffic i felt no need to get past it at 100mph ;) like you do on a sportsbike , but i shall be keeping the gixxer for adrenaline reasons . The BMW was excellent and i loved it , the sales guy said that the quickshifter didn't work between 1st and 2nd gear up or down , but i'm sure somebody on here could tell me if that's true.

I quickly found it didn't work very well between first and second so I use the clutch. Whether or not it's supposed to (not) work that way I haven't heard until now.

1st gear?

How was the "clonk" into 1st gear on the 2016 model. :nenau

To be blunt fuck me it was a crunch but its the same on the gixxer 1000 but I've never had a bike that didn't make a noise going into 1st:(

My 2013 tc does not clunk, unless it's forced way too fast

The older bikes don't go into first with such a bang but the transmission is pretty sloppy in them to be fair (just my opinion). The bang on the WC is like most other bikes I've had. No cause for panic.

Quick shifter does indeed work, not only between 1st and 2nd but all the way down to 1st. Not slick though cos it's a big ask.
