It was a nice Barmy 8 Celsius here today and sunny so I thought I'd have a play with the new version of MyRoute app navigation app. 5.0.1 433 which was released about 5 days ago. This updated ver 5.0.0 426 which had a few issues particularly for older versions of Android <14 and some for Android Auto.
I was using a Motorola Edge Neo 40 with Android 15.
I had tried the new version in the car for a couple of days with no issue and loaded a route over the Antrim hills to Cushendun this morning and back via the coast a route of about 120 miles. The Hills and Glens were in dappled sunshine and the roads were empty. The bit in the Red box is the Mull of Kintyre.........oh mist rolling in from the sea
The app behaved itself perfectly despite me not bothering to follow the route much of the time.
Scotland is only 15miles away at this point.
Unfortunately my preferred lunching hostelry was closed. It has a fantastic collection of vintage Guinness promotional adverts in the dinning room and a lovely open fire.
The village Tearoom on the other side of the street was open. I had blackcurrant frangipane tart with cream and a cappuccino........tell me again why I had a heart attack?

Then a trip down the coast home. Not much to report on the app. It works, is stable, and I like the new interface. On AA the screen is easy to navigate with the Honda left hand button cluster.
