I am coming to the end of a contract for my Blackberry Curve and Nokia 3G phone. I also have an iPad. Rather than having a separate contract for the iPad I just tether it to the Nokia - bingo.

However, I need to give up one of these three bits of technology to save a bit of cash and I dont want to go to iPhone. The simple answer is a new Blackberry but find a way to tether it to the iPad.

Anyone cracked it?:D

IIRC you have to pay an extra per minute fee to use tethering.

I use a MiFi unit which connects to the iPad by WiFi thence to the internet by 3G. Has the advantage that if I'm in a room with poor mobile coverage I can put the MiFi box on a window sill where the signal is good and go back to the centre of the room and surf away. As long as you don't download GBs of data you're laughing. Better than a dongle as it can be separated from the iPad and 2 or 3 people can use it if required and also use it as a wireless router. Has 1gb storage on it so with wireless router facility you can swap data with other wireless smartphone/iPad/laptop users without using t'internet
Plenty different models around, I got mine from T-Mobile

Price of my unit was free on a 24 month contract, £10 fixed cost per month

D'ya reckon I could be a T-mobile salesman if I lost my job :D
