I do use three methods of anti bike theft. As that does happen.
BMW alarm, Immobiliser and steering lock. (three there on its own)
Motion alarm Disc lock.
Cunning. - Never leave it either out of sight, or alone? Choose hotels with underground or at least secured parking. Hi percentage are opportunist.
But TFT getting nicked....... Nahhhhhhhh, But hey, As I stated, If it makes you feel more comfortable, then crack on.:thumb

Cymarc with shade. This was after my lesson learned when my TFT was stolen. At least they didn’t cut the loom and just unplugged it. The Cymarc with shade fitted fine, but the finish was poor. A quick sanddown and refinish with Hammerite and it’s perfect.

Cymarc all day.
Good quality
British built
Fitted with no issues.

Just buy one.

That does not sound so good having to sand it down and re-finish it, shame as was thinking it looked good....

That is what I thought. It just seemed a shoddy finish, which I was not prepared to put on a £20k bike.
For the money they charge, it should at least be a quality finish and not looked like it has been knocked up in a shed.

It took about 5mins to rectify, and the finish is now as I would like/expect. My expectations for Cymarc stuff is below that of Wunderlich or Evotech based on experience. His stuff mostly works, is somewhat industrial in design, and is cheaper. So I just manage ny own expectations accordingly to not be too disappointed. Wunderlich and Evotech are generally the benchmark imho.

See my pic - no sanding or finishing needed just even it up a bit.

Well it would be British built because the perceived epidemic of TFT thefts also seem to be British built.
I am so glad that you find British built a plus point on your German bike. :thumb

Good point !
I cant get on with the triumph (tried it) and i cannot afford a rolls royce

I bought an Aliexpress version but took so long to arrive that I ordered the Cymark one as well. Have to say that there's little difference between the two, although the bolts on the chinese version weren't as good

Triumph - made in uk - i live next to the factory !!
Rolls - i will give you that one .

Quote "Around 20% of all Triumph bikes are built at a new Hinckley assembly facility. 71% are built at their 3 Thailand facilities" Unquote.

I don't understand...The videos online show people fitting these brackets takes literally 5 minutes

Which means they can be stolen in literally 5 minutes

Thieves are smart enough to learn about how to steal the TFT screen with these fitted....

Same principle as a locks - slows people down (more so if they didn't come equipped), or encourages them to move onto the next bike.

Slows down opportunists I agree.....doesn't slow down people who steal to order and who come prepared

hence why top of the range cars get stolen in literally seconds/minutes
