TFT Cleaning stuff....

Of course they are chemicals. But not the same. Water in any form or quality will not dissolve or remove oil based detritus.
Bob, no. Not holy water. Rocket fuel.

Use screen wipe like the ones they use for PC. Or you could use some methylated spirits. Spectical wipes.

"Or vagina lotion "

WOW, properly cracked up in the office at that!!!!!!! Thank you :)

A weak fairy liquid solution with warm water does leave marks.

I was told to use a visor cleaning solution by the dealer - and I've bought some screen protectors off ebay.

Just fitted one which is fine except in certain light conditions - so may take it off again.

But Nige has a valid point how can they sell a dodgy screen that does not show the petrol range correctly, and then ends up full off marks after a wipe...................:drums
Because it's a motherf*ckin BMW and we should all be thankful that the mothership allows is to purchase their magnificent and bountiful steeds.

And the dealerships have nice coffee and potted plants.

Some people are never satisfied

My TFT is great.
However, whilst away, i did notice how dirty it got. I waited until I got home to check the manual to see what it said about cleaning this new item. But seemed to have an omission. Its not mentioned. I wondered what exactly it was made of, Glass ? and primarily what would be best to clean it? Or what others were using.
I suspected , and to be honest, i thought much earlier that someone will come along and post "I thought this thread was a pisstake" .... It was just a matter of time. Maybe UKgser is attracting a more decent clientele ?
My biggest disappointment, although not a surprise was it had to be a jock twat:D

Well we know what BMW will be selling soon, TFT wipes at 50 quid for 10, BMW need to have a serious look at their user manuals, and so do KTM regarding lost keys.

Perhaps there needs to be a concerted effort, on twitter/facebook on KTM's sites, to raise the profile of this matter ?

You really mean, babywipes; rebranded as BMW TFT cleaning clothes at £50 for 10.

So if you eventually get it clean, is it worth fitting a screen protector which you won’t mind scrubbing?

No,I wont. Any screen protector will compromise the anti glare characteristics. Theres no reason to touch it other than cleaning it now and then.
