I had a reply today from Sena to say the 50S/50R models have firmware support for BMW TFT connectivity audio volume control but there are no known firmware updates at present for other models. They have passed on my firmware update request enabling this for the management to consider as a feature in a future update.

I had a 50 unit, sent it back it wouldnt respond to voice commands, a common firmware issue according to the forums

If they will drop it to the 30K i'd be happy

I know this is an old thread but here's some info:
A month ago I bought a Sena 50R, installed a new firmware and the whizz wheel volume worked perfectly so it's not a BMW Unit (U1) only thing, but then I rode in the rain and the Sena died so it went back for a refund, I then bought a Cardo PT Edge, rubbish, bad sound quality, wouldn't pair properly.
My Schuberth E1 is 7 years old so I just bought the E2 with integrated SC2 (Sena 50) - but the whizz wheel volume doesn't work which is a bugger, I hope they release a firmware to fix this soon.

I have a Schuberth C5 with in built SC2 which works fine with the WW on my F750GS. My exact setup is as follows and I hope this helps in some small way.

Schuberth SC2 (model version SP101) firmware 1.1.12

iphone BT to bike
helmet BT to bike

This works regardless of whether I have either the BMW connected app or Garmin Drive app running or not

I am using Cardo Edge to connect to TFT and I can not use wonder wheel to control volume up/down. Only skip / back track. Any solution? My TFT version is the latest one 022_008_020.

No, BMW are in bed with Sena not Cardo, but don’t stress, the Cardo is by far the better system

I have an interphone. u-com 2 and the volume wheel doesn't work .. does anyone know how to do it and if possible?
everything works perfectly except the volume control and forward a track

Doesn't work unless is BMW or certain SENA models.

Yea, My SC2 (Sena) with my Schuberth E2 works, but I have to have the volume at 100% so I can actually hear the music

I was not aware of this - just checked it out and lo and behold I can turn the volume up/down using the wheel

i have the sc2 paired up to my c5 helmet too expensive for what it is !!! mine will work to turn the fm radio on and off by voice command ,do next and previous sometimes, wont turn on by saying hey siri to my i phone or turn on my music by voice command works from the remote buttons on my helmet, receives calls and that.s about it haven.t paired it with my rs, i have found it very frustrating to try and operate it it is updated to the lates settings ,

I have a Shoei Neotec 2 with Sena SRL and wheel will not work the volume. Tried everything, have the latest firmware but no joy.

Just changed from Neotec 2 with late model srl2 (ww didn’t change volume) to Neotec 3 with srl3 and wonder wheel now changes volume. Much more convenient than fiddling about with the switches on the side of the helmet.

That's good news. I've just ordered a Nexx X. COM 3 Pro to go with my new X.Lifecountry. I would think that's similar to the SRL3.

If you are 100% certain about this Paul, I guess I need to swap to the Mesh system for my Neotec2.

I think the SRL 3 is newer than the Mesh though?? Not sure though (I can't remember there being a srl 3 when I bought the mesh)

Only problem is my non-mesh SRL2 has been modified from helmet speakers to a 3.5mm jack plug for my UE monitors, it’d be a shame to lose such audio clarity going back to helmet speakers or have to pay again for the same mod on a new mesh unit. Not sure it’s worth the added expense just to get volume control.
