Hi,

I recently upgraded my 1150ADV for a 1200ADV,which arrived at the start of July, and like most , it came without the panniers!
Having just had a week off work I had a big tour of the British Isles planned to get to know the bike, taking in Wales,Ireland,N Ireland Scotland and back down to England. But 25 days after the bike arrived there was still no sign of the panniers.Rainbow very kindly gave me a loan of the panniers off their 1200ADV demonstrator so I could complete my trip in comfort.
Having just returned their panniers to them yesterday(washed and cleaned) I was delighted to learn that while I`d been away my panniers had arrived from Germany.
Thanks again to the guys at rainbow.

cheers

Jon

That's Rainbow for ya :thumb

People go elsewhere because they might save twenty quid on a deal

Those people know nuthin' ...

The word 'upgrade' is rather open to debate.....but glad you`re pleased. :thumb

Just chopped my 1150 in for a 1200 at Rainbow. Got a cracking deal and a decent bunch too. The reason I took the trouble to cross the Pennines is that my local South Cheshire dealer couldn't be bothered to return my calls, their loss!

Cheers
Dave

I will be changing my R1150 GS next year for a new 1200 (hopefully an Adventure ) and I will be driving from North Northumberland down to Rainbow (160 miles) after personal recommendations of a number of people who have already done the same.
Its a wonder M*** at Sunderland stay in business with their superb customer care.
Perhaps we should do a full survey on the site as to all BMW dealers countrywide and their relevant merits, similar to the RIDE magazine survey and then vote with our feet and spend money with the dealers who deserve it and not just the nearest franchised one.
Plus it would be beneficial if the results of what BMW customers think actually got back to BMW itself

Because the word 'upgrade' is not really appropriate, that`s why.

If the guy had gone from 1Mb Broadband to 2Mb Broadband, for instance, then that would be an 'upgrade'.

Going from one motorbike to a totally different one isn`t an 'upgrade'.

Jeezas...that`s without any comments about build quality ,standards of finish or mentioning reliabilty...... :D :D

to keep the peace :) I "updated" my bike, how does that sound?

Lovely machine though!

cheers
