On a trip last year we went through a Swiss village called Bernina on our way North and I think the road is the Bernina pass.

I noticed at the time that there was a train that wound its way up the pass as well. Does anyone know if it is a tourist train (it looked like it) that does a sort of round trip from Bernina please?

I might give it a go next year if it is.

Thanks.

Thats the train. It's a local runner that is part of the lines in the Engadine. It is a good way to get up and down the valleys. These types are often referred to as 'mountain railways'. Last summer I was up here on this very train with the family in tow. You can get off these only a short walk from most of the Telecabins that take you up the hill sides.

Anyway, here is a link with more information that you would want...
