Just got back from this show. Not impressed. Nothing great about it. Have seen more bikes at local club shows.
Only good thing I can say is t least I got out for a run on the bike, met up with a few auld pals and got to see the brilliant Ken Fox hell riders wall of death show again.

Shame we can't use open expletives at the mention of Carole Gnash.

Damned bloody expensive . Never will phone them again.:mad::mad::mad:

It's 3 hours out of my fucking life that I wont get back
the stunt rider fell off which pleased my 5yr old , the wall of death impressed my kids . it pissed of rain on Saturday when we were there and these were the high points . load of utter pish !!

I gave it my best shot, I went round a few times thinking I must have missed something, but, naw.

Just last week when I was renewing my bike insurance I was telling the Carol Nash rep how I was looking forward to the show. Well maybe I'll insure the bike with someone else next year.

How bad was it? Well I only took two photos today, One was of an ex Itallian Army Moto Guzzi Falcone I spotted in the parking area and one of Ken Fox's Indian.

Sorry for passing on my cloud of nagativity but I expected a lot better.

I got there at 09:15 on Saturday (I decided to take a car :blast).

The place was near deserted, which was OK if you wanted to have a close look at stuff and talk to people. I took quite a few pictures.

The "Classic Bikes" section had some nice stuff in it and people were obviously trying to put on a show but overall there wasn't much there, although I did have a good look at the new Aprilia Caponord 1200, the Guzzi Stelvio and the Ducati Multistrada 1200 (dream-on).

Overall it was very like the "Haggis Bash" Autojumble that I go to in Feb, with the usual stalls selling cheap tools, oil, Triumph spares and so on.

I had a long chat with "The Gorgeous Biker Chick" as I'm a member of her Cub Club (must put the heap of bits together one day :rob). She is organising a Lands End to John O'Groats run on Terriers & Cubs in October to commemorate the run done in 1953 by Edward Turner and others.

There was an "interesting" collection of (over-)customised Gold Wings if that sort of thing floats your boat.

The Ducati Club had a good display and the Vintage Motorcycle Club had a few bikes and loads of spare parts on sale which was a goot effort.

Lanark was, as ever, freezing cold & pi$$ing rain which was a shame as folks had put in a lot of effort. It just doesn't have much appeal in its current format though.

All the new bikes were being displayed by Dealers - there were no Manufacturers there as far as I could see.

I went around twice, bought some tools and left at 11:00 - home in time for lunch :D.

Bob.
