The Donkey clocks 250,000 miles

If more people on this forum shared this attitude... i.e. not obsessing. My guess is there would be fewer problems. I don't.. and so have had only one breakdown in almost 15 years. (Hall sensor).

Impressive mileage...

What parts did you change on the bike besides tires and brake pads, etc?

Dan.

Not to much really, it's on it's second clutch, the gerabox has been rebuilt, but I think that might have been accident damage. It buggered it's cams early on, but apart from that, only accident damage and me damage.

I'm sure there are some other bits as well, but nothing to expensive.

Heard it a couple of hours ago and noticed how smooth and quiet the engine is, must be just about run in now.

I'm planning on keeping mine and gathering such miles. My only issue is it sits in the garage through the winters, and I know they dont like not being used.
