6 months into GS ownership, I rather like my Anakee IIIs - plenty of grip, confidence inspiring, but a little a noisy. My front is now pretty worn and the rear getting squared off after about 7,500 miles.
I try to get the odd weekend away for light greenlaning in Wales and am planning my first trips around Salisbury Plain and some rides in Yorkshire and Lakes next year, as well as a return for week trip on the gravel trails in the high Alps. The Anakees have held up really well so far actually in all conditions, but when faced with mud they've been pretty pants, but, conversely, they've been outstanding on winding tarmac roads.
My riding otherwise is entirely on-road - commuting about London every day and the odd weekend ride somewhere, mainly on tarmac.
Ideally, I want to buy a spare set of wheels with TKC80s fitted for the occasional trip, but this hinges on the other half allowing some spare wheels knocking around the flat.
In reality, my only option really is to fit another set of Anakee IIIs and temper my off road riding to the lighter stuff...
Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks
