Dear f800 owners I’m sounding the waters with you as regards a new concept and would be great full of any input or interests to purchase. Having been here a short while I have watched with amazement the forum banter some serious and some stupid remarks and comments.
I’m hoping to bring the forum together like a patchwork quilt rather than a melting pot of views I give you the clip on boxer engine a bit like the clip on ear ring complete with fake headers.
The idea is only a concept at the moment I’m sourcing discarded boxer heads from boxer minded mechanics on this site and f800 mechanics to help mount the clip on or some may prefer a strap on! (PM’s have been sent) they could be actual recycled boxer heads but I’m in talks with a Chinese injection moulding factory with a Chinese lady called Wendy.
For funding I’m off to the dragons Den so from the 1st April for about a week I will not be available, but please think about it, your comments are and always will be invaluable here are some benefits please feel free to add to them there will be a brochure.
You will have a greater presence on the Road, somewhere to put your feet up; there could be storage inside (more luggage capacity)
1. Those that see a true GS is only a boxer engine
2. You will be seen to be riding a real mans bike (the toffo effect)
3. Those that have moved down to a F800 will now be accepted by their old friends
4. Those that have moved up from a f650 to f800 and realise they are still riding a girls bike
5. Everyone will nod at you when you ride
6. You will be welcomed the same at events as before, but you will feel a deep sense of belonging
7. You will become a complete Tosser

For that Realistic touch-
A lot of people know that a boxer engine on a slow idle has that side to side feeling so there will be instructions to mimic this for the taller rider with both feet on the ground you can do the happy dog greet like they, do the fast wagging tail, it will be known as the pleased to see you move, for shorter riders unfortunately you will need a friend. To steady your bike while you twitch your handle bars left and right if you do not have a friend your centre stand will be your friend.
I will market this and try to sell it to the major firm Rugged Roads if they turn me down I will try the more obscure Touratech but that will be triple the price! But I can say there will be Forum discount for special Tosser’s the concept name for the fake Boxer is the "STALLONE"

If Hitler was alive he would be proud of the fake Boxer:blast

If you would like to get in quick and become a real tosser I will be looking for testers from all regions

This is the pull no punches fake boxer engine. Ride Safe and happy Easter

Thank you for your support :thumb2

Are they heated to keep my feet warm? a kettle in one head and slow cooker/stew maker in the other would make me the envy of tossers when turning up on a camping trip.

I'm looking for the natural progression which is a swing arm cover to give the shafted look.

You can achieve 90% of the boxer look by using the empty cans from two catering packs of Heinz baked beans fixed to your engine bars.
Spray the sides of the can black but leave the end silver - I call it the "round" or "bean" head boxer.

You can achieve 90% of the boxer sound by tying a couple of empty can's to your crash bars with enough length that they bounce along the ground as you go along! :rolllaugh

I've made space in my work schedule to run another workshop specifically for the fitting and utiisation of these pots - first thought is to use them as some kind of food-warmer using a coolant hose routed through it, then the other could be used at a tool-chest of sorts ...

Bring 'em on I say ..

Best use ever of a BMW opposed cylinder...
