Honda class as always........

It is a CB500X rebranded. They are doing the same with the naked CB500F which becomes the 500 Hornet

Not sure about the high quality suspension, the rear shock is the same unit with revised settings.

You could probably have two or three in the garage instead of the new top end adventure stuff. The gap seems to be growing wider between what we want and what we need. Not parting with a GS just yet though.

I am confident that the ‘improvements’ compared to my sub £3K 2014 CB500X wth 13K miles are, in real life terms, negligible.

Looks a nice bike, but I don't see the gap in the range this is meant to fill.
£100 more than the CB500X with HSTC and fancy TFT with connectivity, but otherwise too similar to make a difference. Having said that, given the choice of either I would go for it over the CB.

I am pretty sure it's the replacement for the CB500X so they won't be alternatives. Given what it really is - a facelift version of the CB500X - I think it looks pretty good.

E Mail from Miles Kingsport Hull. Available to view from next Friday 12th Feb, Matt black, and X2 customer orders, red ones.

Just been to see the NX500 today at a dealer, very nice. The front end looks fantastic, bit Yam T7'ish but very Dakar looking.

Overall? impressed.

I was looking at a couple of vids on YT last night. It may be a little high revving for my taste but it's worth considering as a lighter tourer.

Are the engine characteristics the same as the CB500X in terms of peak torque, where this kicks in and the general feeling of revviness (is that a new word) ?

From the two vids I watched, the engine is unchanged. (Confirmed here.) Hence my reservations. However, as a styling exercise, it's still makes for a very nice looking bike with some practical benefits such as the new digital info screen and the fairing.
