The gritting has started

Meanwhile here in central France there is no salt on the road and it's been bone dry here for weeks. Just sayin 😜

Lucky ❄️ Here in 37 there's been snow, freezing fog & some evil black ice. Main roads been gritted but back roads have some cars that have come to grief.
Penalty of being in the maritime climate zone! We're moving to Ain in a couple of months and I'm praying it's going to be dry there too

Gritting everyday where I live
Why? We haven't had any rain to was it away for weeks.

Only 6 inch of snow fell last night, that on top of 4 the other day, no car moving as few roads cleared apart from the usual bus routes. Larder full, fridge stocked, hunkered down under a thick duvet, cosy it is all that matters, stay safe folks.

Typical cleared path, 5 minutes later and 4" more inches snow falls...gives a break!

Mind it's kinda pointless, as my path leads to 2 feet of snow on pavements. :nenau

It must be cold out, our council have actually gritted the roads for once. Probably make bugger all difference except to the council tax bill.
I woke this morning to a light dusting of snow and was glad they gritted the major routes. Humble pie eaten.
