I will DEFFO come back to life with a GS, probably when I leave the army in 7 years, but till then....

See ya around.:D

How about "bye, bye, see what I bought on the Kawasaki Forum" ?? :tosser

I could almost understand it if you were going zx10 ing or any other litre class machine but I regularly obliterate sports 600's on my 12gs, the only place they're better in the real world is in a (long) straight line and where's the fun in that. Unless you're a really tasty rider it seems like a bit of a backwards step (except in looks of course, it's undeniably pretty). And it must feel uncomfortable. I rode a pan the other day and it felt back breaking compared to my GS or the RT I ride at work. Anyway, enjoy all the same, nice bike but I think you'll be back. :thumb

No you dont. You regularly "obliterate" the RIDERS of SS6's.;)

Crap.
A well setup 6 way outhandles a GS in the twisties in all but the crappeiest of roads, esp anywhere near the limit. You just cant push a (standard) GS as hard. The only reason a GS is often quicker is the seating position affords such great view of the road ahead.

Some of us like a challenge.;)
The GS is all too easy

And it must feel uncomfortable. I rode a pan the other day and it felt back breaking compared to my GS or the RT I ride at work.
No it musnt.
Just cos your body is old and feels it doesnt mean we all do.;)
I have spent but 25k ish miles on GS's and 200k ish miles on sportsbikes.
I think I know what I like and can get on with.

Anyway, enjoy all the same, nice bike but I think you'll be back. :thumb
Like I said. Lots of times.
But while my body doesnt feel old and handles the riding position of a sportsbike I might as well make the most of it.;)

What are you, some kind of hunchback :P

how on earth can the bike that the countrys traffic plod do 000,000 miles on be "back breaking" ...................53,000 miles on a back breaking "little" ZX600 in the last couple of years but just got rid of it as i needed more

so bought a 636 :)

Oh, boys and their toys  ok, I'll bring my R/t, you'll recognise it as the one with the blue lights on and I'll bring the helecopter to film the occasion, I'm sure you're right though, a 'well ridden' 6 even on a standard set up would be too much for a GS and I don't claim to be anything more than a mediocre rider. The only time I race on the highway is when someone fails to stop which invariably ends up with them crashing. I think the point, if I had one was just how easy it is to hustle a GS along and how good they are off the line. The cbr1000rr I had before it obviousy went well but it was a pig to launch as was the 600rr. I had a zx6 and loved it, so enjoy, but don't make me spill my horlicks when you come hooning past :nono I guess at 35 I am old before my time!!

I did a few years on sports tackle too, and when i was riding them it wasn't uncomfortable. But when you get onto something really comfortable like a GS or RT, getting back onto a sports bike would take some getting used to. As for the Pan it was a Police bike and I have done more than a few miles on them, but the RT is much more comfortable (for me) and made getting back on a Pan after well over a year on BM's feel odd/ uncomfortable. But I will be checking my back for hunches in a minute :P

Bring it on, I know plenty of roads where its impossible to speed and it would still handle better.;)
But who mentioned a race?
I merely said I would show you what one is MORE than capable of, seeing as you dont seem to know.;)

I think the point, if I had one was...
How nobody can possibly like sports bike more than GS, or ride better on one than a GS, just cos you dont?

Both of which have exceedingly tall first gears IIRC. The 6 esp (had one;)).

Who's going to ride your bike then Abel? :D ;)

I did wonder about that myself, I just thought I would leave the proof of the pudding to the eating, not assume it MUST be uncomfortable.;)

As it happens, after a slight twinge when first getting on it, the two days its taken me to run it in to the 600 milers service have soon sorted that out and its great. Comfy as Ive ever been on a sports bike.:D

I'll just have to assume you're right and I'm wrong :thumb

Not like a rozzer to assume rather than look at all available evidence. ;)

Look, we all know that GS's are faster than sportsbikes - esp 600cc sportsbikes. Now lets just leave it at that shall we :D :D
