No you dont. You regularly "obliterate"Mike Peers said:I could almost understand it if you were going zx10 ing or any other litre class machine but I regularly obliterate sports 600's on my 12gs
Crap.the only place they're better in the real world is in a (long) straight line and where's the fun in that.
Some of us like a challenge.Unless you're a really tasty rider it seems like a bit of a backwards step (except in looks of course, it's undeniably pretty).
No it musnt. And it must feel uncomfortable. I rode a pan the other day and it felt back breaking compared to my GS or the RT I ride at work.
Like I said. Lots of times.Anyway, enjoy all the same, nice bike but I think you'll be back.![]()

you are welcome to come join me for a play if you want a demo of what ones MORE than capable of.
Meet up at finchingfield?
I guess at 35 I am old before my time!!I did a few years on sports tackle too, and when i was riding them it wasn't uncomfortable. But when you get onto something really comfortable like a GS or RT, getting back onto a sports bike would take some getting used to. As for the Pan it was a Police bike and I have done more than a few miles on them, but the RT is much more comfortable (for me) and made getting back on a Pan after well over a year on BM's feel odd/ uncomfortable. But I will be checking my back for hunches in a minuteBigyin said:What are you, some kind of hunchback![]()
how on earth can the bike that the countrys traffic plod do 000,000 miles on be "back breaking" ...................53,000 miles on a back breaking "little" ZX600 in the last couple of years but just got rid of it as i needed more
so bought a 636![]()
Bring it on, I know plenty of roads where its impossible to speed and it would still handle better.Mike Peers said:I'll bring my R/t, you'll recognise it as the one with the blue lights on and I'll bring the helecopter to film the occasion
How nobody can possibly like sports bike more than GS, or ride better on one than a GS, just cos you dont?I think the point, if I had one was...
Both of which have exceedingly tall first gears IIRC. The 6 esp (had oneThe cbr1000rr I had before it obviousy went well but it was a pig to launch as was the 600rr.

I did wonder about that myself, I just thought I would leave the proof of the pudding to the eating, not assume it MUST be uncomfortable.Mike Peers said:But when you get onto something really comfortable like a GS or RT, getting back onto a sports bike would take some getting used to.

Not like a rozzer to assume rather than look at all available evidence.Mike Peers said:I'll just have to assume you're right and I'm wrong![]()

You are welcome to have a go if ya like.Mike Peers said:A wise man knows when he's defeated, and I'm defeated by the weight of the opinion, I mean, evidence.![]()
