I'll have you know I worked four, 12hr shifts of heavy engineering in a paper mill last week just to earn some cash:eek:...back to bike training this week:thumb

If both Mark and I could immediately pick up from where we left off I'm sure we'd progress well, but it always seems to take a lap or two to get right back into it. Riding other bikes between trials is of no benefit at all.

I understand it's all in the mind and having the clarity of where to ride and what to do, even when that all comes together there's still the need to call on a box of tricks which unfortunately is still missing many parts, improvising only get's you so far...just like engineering :blast

I guess that whilst (as you say..) riding other bikes doesn't help your trials riding, conversely, riding trials probably helps riding other bikes no end. (If you see what I mean ... :D).

You're right there Giles it does, but still having trouble bunny hopping the GS:nenau

Yes, I know:blast. Piece if piss on a 1200:D

Last Sunday was the Y Clasur Foel charity trial with proceeds going toward the Welsh Air Ambulance service, hopefully we matched last years £2000 figure which went to a hospice.

Set in the forests and mountains of deep and dark Powys, around 36 sections all of which needed to be walked before riding them and longs sections of trails linking them all up.

Ferret, Earthmover and myself all ached like bastards afterwards, perhaps not all of us did though...Ange and Denise were observers/scorers.

Ange certainly seemed to score well:rolleyes: with at least one marriage proposal, several kisses and many suggestions as to where a rider's score card was kept.:D

Mark had a good ride dropping only 15 points, I thought I had a good ride too but stupid errors cost me 27 points and Ferret lost 38, all good results:clap

No, but I see how it could look that way! :D
I have worn a suit under my 'stitch once for work, if that helps?
No Lambretta's, but there is a twist and go Yamaha Chappy. :thumb

A brilliant weekend trial hosted by the Aqueducts Classic club high up on Llandegla Moor.

Mark and Denise arrive early and try remembering how to put the tent up in a strong breeze:D

Only one photo from the first day and I was riding like a knob...so badly that I called it a day late in the trial before I seriously injured myself or one of the observers.

The three previous laps I'd jumped the drop, landing nicely in the mud on the back wheel......this time I jumped and the bike stopped dead in it's tracks nearly busting my wrist:mad:

The results are out:tears

Saturday:
Mark Retired
Me 80:rolleyes:
Denise 101

Sunday:
Mark 16:clap
Me 47:rolleyes:
Ferret 101 :comfort

A woman was riding in the yellow/Clubman class and only dropped 27 points!:clap .......20 less than me:blast

'Kin 'ell Tim, you were quick off the mark! I've only just finished sorting tea out.
Saturday's retirement for me was with electrical failure on the Beta, which I was riding as Denise has claimed the Whitehawk after the pikey b*st*rds stole her Sherco. She selflessly offered to let me ride it on the Sunday as we couldn't get a spark out of mine. :(
It was a very good day though, really enjoyed it. Got hours of GoPro footage to wade through as well! At some point I'll learn how to stick that on here.
Mark

WHOOP WHOOP........ at last!

My first win in the Twinshock Clubman class today :bounce1
