The I have ridden in Scotland for a weekend

Scotland is lovely and the Scots are, like most people lovely too, but Alex Salmond does come across as a complete tw@t on the telly.

Just had to say that :D

I've had two weekends up there now.... If you have any questions please ask :thumb
Please explain the South Sea Bubble its effects upon the Scottish economy and acceptance of the Act of Union.

but Alex Salmond does come across as a complete tw@t on the telly.

I think he comes over as the only current political leader who displays integrity and the balls to tell Westminster and the Merkins to mind their own business.

I have never ridden recreationally there and hence never at weekends. I have clocked up somewhere in the region of 10K miles all over Scotland for work though and sometimes taken the "more scenic" way home. I will have my first weekend ride up there with a couple of mates later in the year. Not that the law regarding wild camping has ever stopped me south of the border, but they have a far more sensible approach to the legality of wild camping up in Scotland too.

Compared to the likes of Broon and Millibrand, he's like JFK :thumb2

In a previous life I got married in Scotland and spent a couple of weeks up there, lovely place and lovely people.... but that was 25 years ago so it might have changed since then :D

I have been to Scotland twice and I prefer France as its closer, warmer, the food is better and the people are easier to understand.

Unfortunately, neither are Broon and Milliband :(

Ooh....harsh, harsh. :( I've got a friend in California whose dad just happens to live in North Queensferry and fettles oor Gordon's wireless network for him. I'm still waiting for my introduction to Gordon.......:augie

Been there for dinner, so I don't know much. But the dinner was grand. I'm still full.
