Sair winkie for the rest of the following week. :D

Spent 9 years in Morayshire. Would like to go back there given the chance.

Spent all my spare time exploring roads that I'd not been along. Bloody fantastic! Highlands. Islands, West Coast and East Coast explored.

Wonderful countryside and wonderfully hospitable people. Even learned Doric and a smattering of Gaelic. Happy days :flag

Does that count? :)

Broke my ankle skiing in 1979 in scotland - pissed down the whole week.
Been back twice since - pissed down too

Marshalling at Knockhill 4-5 june after me and two others are heading to ulapool, skye, applecross, glencoe for a week after riding all that way up the A1 it would be a waste not to,
going to be staying in hostels dont fancy carting tents about and they are a bit cheaper than B&B;s and hotels any tips on places to go hostels ect gratefully recieved thanks.

I have several weekends in Edinburgh visiting friends every year, I always travel up by motorcycle, there are some great routes north with no need to use the motorway. I usually have a sailing holiday off the west coast most years in the summer and a week long bike trip up to the top every autumn. Scotlands a great place, I have many fond memories, but the midgies and the nationalists piss me off.
A bike trip to the outer hebridies is coming up very soon.
