The Irish Tosser's Navigation Rally, The First Date in '08, Cashel, Co Tipperary.

Feckin excellent day. Got back to Kerry @ 20.55; it started to rain @21.00.
420 Ks on the clock for the day; given that a lot of that was chasing checkpoints on greasy tracks that's feckin excellent - did I say that already?
Put a face to Dakar Girl & Jaws; nice to meet youse and good to see the girl get her new gear dirty.
Good to see the two injured guys return - bb1 & Jockser.:beerjug:

Me Bike is filthy; wish I could find a chick that filthy:eek:
Feckin excellent day; oh sorry I'm repeating myself.
Thanks to Nud1e for the company but feck your GPS for that muddy track I got crossed up on; that was the second time I came close to dumping the ship.
The 2 new non smokers were grinning but it was a feck....OK you all have the hang of this by now.
Thanks to the organising crew; feckin ex..........sorry but it really was.
Finally I came home having closed a deal on a GS-911 diagnostic tool; the next time my fuel pump sender fails I'll know why the bike is stopped; feckin excellent; it just keeps getting better.
Isn't 2008 a mighty year?
Well so far anyway??
The day was so feckin good I took no photos....sorry. :clap :clap :clap

A great day out!

Thanks to everyone who was involved in organising todays Nav Rally. It was a great start to all things two wheeled for 2008.

Thanks to the team of organisers :thumb for todays great day out! first day out for the 2 baldies from kildare, checkpoints 4 &5 made the hair stand on our heads !! good job we have an appointment with the hair cordinator 2morro!!looking forward to the next 1 !!:Motomartin

I'm usually loath to agree with him :augie but on this occasion I do so wholeheartedly :

Feckin excellent day.

:thumb2 :thumb2

Huge thanks to McIvor & Gunner for organising the perfect start to '08.:clap:clap The bar has been set pretty high ;)
Also thanks to Daithi for posting about the run & also the .gbd (helped me to be slightly organised for a change !), Grumpy for his downloading skills & Liam for clocking us all in & out :clap

Had a swift (damp) run down with Padge & DaveR before joining the others for the brekkie & a bit of sh1te talk. Being a bit slow off the mark I ended up without a 'buddy' but found it was fun to tramp along at my own pace. I avoided the 'track' points in favour of the road ones & managed to get through all the ones I'd assigned for the morning despite several 'over-shoots' & wrong turns. I don't know how the guys with the maps managed it when I couldn't even follow a big purple line on the GPS :o

We all met up for varying lengths of time over lunch in Dundrum & then back out to finish up. I was a bit over ambitious with my afternoon selection as most of the roads were boreens but, with the mornings cloud having lifted, what views :thumb2 Mapsource then sent me down a long mucky lane which was 'interesting' on the GSA :eek Certainly roused me out of my post-lunch lethargy :D

All in all a great day. And without even a whiff of smoke :D

So when's the next one :nenau

this is what ye did

if you did not do as you thought, your bribe was not good enough

this is for the cards returned, some were not

Ageism is to be deplored - the years have been kind to some of us, and we have benefited from the experience and become statesmen.:rob:rob:rob:rob

Beating the Langer isn't something of which to boast - you should be magnanimous in your own success and polite to those that you have bested. They do say that pride goes before a fall - your next pizza will be cold.

Thanks Nudie,:clap there is however no need as I have it on good authority that he only did the easy
