The joy of servicing

I have never seen a positive post from you, if you hate the product so much why hang round a forum dedicated to it?

He claims to have owned a GS and sold it at about the time he first posted. He makes claims, but is unable to back them up when challenged. I'm still waiting for him to state which trade journal he got his sales figures from where he claimed BMW sales were down but Yamaha had increased theirs by 22%. An easy enough task you would think to be able to name the journal.

Come on Rob- £50 parts, PLUS mechanics wages,Plus reception wages PLUS liability insurance, PLUS primary shop frontage business rates,PLUS premises costs/lease, PLUS heatling and lighting, PLUS pension contributions. Have I left any additional expenses out :mmmm

Oh yes PLUS VAT

So then start again with £50 parts, then present the customer with a realistic bill . Sorry but I am not with you on your rant I'm afraid
:D

FFS - I posted that 3 years ago. I'm glad to see somebody actually reads the bollox I post :D

The point I was trying to make is that the dealers charge top whack for what is more often than not a shoddy job. I haven't had a positive BMW service experience so find it far less hassle and considerably cheaper not to bother taking my bikes to them. How can £160 + vat for a minor service be a sensible charge for what amounts to a very simple service job. Anybody who does a service themselves will realise how much of a pisstake that sort of charge is.

I suppose it's all relative. some of the london GS riders are happy to pay £50 for somebody to wash their bike :nenau
