Lap of The Lakes & beyond led by Doc Savage & Stevie73.
gavb0, Yoz & myself met up at Haydock Island, introductions were made & the 1st coffee of the day drunk. Within a few minutes Doc Sav & Stevie rolled up.
Everywherevirtually was predisposed so 5 of us set off into the clear blue yonder.
Our 1st stop-off was at Fourstones.
Well, it would be rude not to climb it.
It was here that Doc Savage sussed out my previous identity. Through PM's, conversation & a clue on my pannier he correctly deducted I was..
Next stop was Devil's Bridge for a brew & a bite. Legend has it that 3 of the fourstones were used to build the bridge (did I get that right? I was listening Stevie, honest)
Yoz at Wainwath Falls, an unexpected stop-off.
Then it was off to the 1st pass of the day. Wrynose.
Superb road & fantastic scenery.
Then onto Hardknot Pass, a steep pass that put Yoz's rear brake to the test.
The last stop-off before a bimble down a single track doing some greenlaning!
& a ride around some stunning lakes.
Then onto Thornthwaite campsite. The owner was very biker friendly and you can have a camp fire & it's 10 mins from pub!
Everywhere'eventually'virtually turned up, rolling into the site in the darkness.
Ah, the pub. Some of our eyes were bigger than are (ample) bellies when it came to the food & I must admit I got incredibly drunk.
More beers by the fireside.
I certainly don't remember getting my cock out last night.
In the morning I could have easily stayed in bed for another 3 or 4 hours but I made an effort & packed up. Riding out of the camp I decided it was too much so I stopped off down the road for breakfast & cleared my head for an hour. The ride home was an uneventful blast down the motorway but the previous day was a cracker, thanks for your company guys.

Oh, & as for my previous identity.... well we couldn't have 2 Docs on the ride could we?
