I'm off to Germany tomorrow in the car. Finances dictate that this trip will be with a Dover-Calais crossing. Now I've travelled this way literally dozens of times before but this was before I discovered Rosyth-Zeebrugge and thereafter Newcastle-Ijmuiden. I've got 2 futher trips later in the year (both from Newcastle) but I reckon that these overnight cabin sailings have got me all soft.
Doing this trip in a oner with about 17 hours driving time used to be no bother to Young (or younger
) Ronno. However, I might now need the help of a few tins of Irn Bru 32.
I'm actually quite looking forward to it.
I'll also get a stop in Luxembourg which has not been possible on the recent routes for me. Remich

I've got my iPod edited with a "Germany January 2007" playlist
I used to venture up and down using the A74/M6 but after a recent trip to Luton, I've decided to use the A1/M1.
Oh, it's also my first Autobahn trip in my vRS
