After my wasted trip to Belfast last week to look at a bike I returned to Dublin and started to dig around for another 1150 Adventure with low mileage. I made a phone call and stumbled upon a 2003 silver/red adventure in absolutely perfect (I mean factory finish perfect) condition with a genuine and verified mileage of 1,900 KM's :clap. The only owner bought it new in 2003 from Maxwell motors in Dublin. He put up the few KM's on it and parked it away in a warm dry garage. It has just been fully serviced by a BMW dealer and had the fuel tank cleaned out. Also the fuel pump etc have been replaced. So I know there are a few low mileage 1150 adventures here on the site, but is this the lowest mileage one ? Pictures will follow tomorrow when I pick it up from the owner. :)

Cue ...

... the Kingston Miser and his fabled lock-up of unbroken fillies

Nice find :thumb

In the past two years I have had a minty BMW K1 (now owned by one on the Mike's here) and a minty Harley Roadking Classic. The prospect of having the adventure here is much more exciting.

Now you'll never be riding the wrong Bike again

Lovely. Did it reflect in the price? Whats your plans for the bike, keep it in the sitting room for ten years or rack up the miles?

So pictures of the garage queen :D

Neil has beaten you on Mileage, but you've definitely beaten him on the lack of the inches of moss, spuds and general garage flora growing on it....He won't need a damp cloth as much as a fekkin rotivator to bring his SE up to scratch :D

That is nice.

Probably twice the price of the equally as nice one I'm picking up on Thursday, but it is nice :beerjug:

I thought mine was low mileage with 14,000 mile on an 54 plate (I've got several other bikes so spread the load!) but can't get near this!

Mine is also in superb condition though.

If you only ride from April to october & the bike is in a dry garage when not used

I wouldn't bother with ACF - waste of time & money and the new fad

Never used it on mine, owned from new & it's in as good nick as your new one

Just wash it regularly and apply a good wax polish to the engine and paintwork & some silicon spray to the other bits

Dehumidifier in the garage over winter is the key, I remove 3-4 gallons of water a week from my garage

Gorgeous. Well wear (in the dry)

You happy now? You've been looking long enough.

Happy ? Hmm. It's like being an 18 year old all over again. The chase is always better than getting it. :D Some fecker upset me today and offered me more than I paid for it yesterday . I have said no but now I'm worried that the seed has been planted. :augie It's under a bike cover in my garage with a soft folded blanket covering the tank to stop any stoopid family members dropping anything on the tank . I love it.
