The P. R. of Cork Annual Ride-out.

The ring of Kerry cycle that weekend and I'm doing it. :thumb2 I've put up 750 miles training on the push bike this last few weeks:  it would be a shame not to do the ring now. :nenau

Fair play Gerry. I'd struggle to manage that sort of milage on a motorbike :( And there's always the Sept event :bounce1 Now, where'd he put the dates for that :nenau

Still meeting in Mitchelstown at 11:00?
Not too far from me in Lismore.
I've no off road experience though. Hope this is'nt a problem. I would'nt want to to hold you guys up.
Anyway, If the going gets too rough I can always leave you and head for the nearest

Hello Tom,
No worries, there won't be anything ridiculously difficult, and you're more than welcome. See ya Saturday.:thumb2

Fingers crossed the weather hold out for us.:augie

an eventful start

meet with Diathi, The Celt, Padge and Tom @11h00. Diathi then tried to lose us but his GPS was working, so he took us up a dead end instead. Everyone, perhaps not Tom, seemed to get tired and had to have a lie down, a first for Diathi or so he claimed. One of the tired

Just home..Great weekend... The idea of the spin was a Reccie and we found some fantastic places to go.

Started with some trails Daithi had previously identified but didn't explore in detail. So called dead ends didn't stop us:rob we just carried on through the wee gaps and had fun in the narrow forrest trails and the mud(lots of mud & lots of fun)..

Day 2 was Daithi, Tom and myself..We headed off from Fermoy and explored North Cork. Found some very long trials with Fantactic views.
Fair play to Tom for jumping in at the deepend on his first bit of offroading.
Big cheers to Daithi.. You spend a lot of time reasearching where to go and it shows... Great Craic:clap :clap :clap

Photos to follow....

Tom, my apologies for the blatant lie above, Padge and The Celt made me
do it, it was supposed to be just a reccie, it was one daft weekend. :D I'm
glad you enjoyed it. See ya in Achill/Boreen Run.
Joe and Padge, :thumb2 :D :thumb :D :beerjug:

Hi Daithi,

Many thanks to you, Padge, The Celt and Nud1e for a great weekends biking.
Enjoyed it thoroughly - well most of it! And thanks for your encouragement and help at my first and fairly feeble attempts at offroading. [And for helping me lift the bike on a couple of occasions.]

Look forward to meeting up with you guys again in Achill or perhaps the Boreen run. Though if there is anything happening in the area in the meantime give me shout.

Tom.

Looks like great craic lads :thumb2 At least it wasn't wet or muddy :augie

The P.R.C. Run is still on .....

Despite the lack of activity on here from the cottage -wrecking langer I'm reliably informed that this is still going ahead on the 8th & 9th of September :bounce1

I spoke to him earlier & he's all set but, due to the fact that he's been :Motomartin his bald patch in darkest Clare (the county, not the girl ;)) for almost the entire "summer", it's not going to be a Nav Rally :( It'll be a good old fashioned 'boreen' type run. But knowing Daithi there's sure to be a bit of mud or water somewhere during the weekend :augie

He'll be back, live & uncut (unfortunately ) this weekend & will put up a new thread with all the details :bounce1
