I was supposed to be on cormorant watch, but it was very foggy, no wind and no black plague anywhere to be seen. On our walk around the lake Jet marked a squirrel. I shot it and he retrieved it, sort of. In another copse they were getting jiggy and he caught one before it could make a tree. He suffered for his sport mind, more nose scars to impress the ladies with, Chicks Dig Scars! :D Just as he half fetched it to me, I spotted a silhouette up high in an ash. 32g of 6s brought it tumbling. We finished with 2 each, he caught two and I shot two so it wasn't a totally wasted foray.

42g of No1s for them! Or 3s.🤣
Only up until April 14th though. Then we have to submit our reports to N.E.

That's a healthy looking dog you've got there, lots of muscle on him too. How old?
He has just turned 4, so in his prime now. He had a good mentor for his first year or so, Tigs took him under his wing and showed him the ropes and taught him the doggie manners that are expected in our household.

Tigs was a fine gentleman of a dog who could turn his hand to anything.

I spotted Cormorants, Egret's and Otters on the Stour yesterday .... wish they'd all fuck off back to the seaside.

Tig looks a belter of a Lurcher. Reminds me of a smaller version of a cracking dog of mine - Woody.. From hare coursing stock on the Fens.. Fast and strong. Scared of foxes mind! DSC00495.jpeg
