I've had my bike for about 6 weeks now, been riding it as much as I can.
I've started to notice that I'm finding it difficult to get comfortable on the bike, specifically, getting the twins in a position where they're not trapped/leaned on/squashed:o
I've managed to swap out my low seat for a normal one, (thanks to the very helpful chaps at Woolaston, N'hampton), and it's certainly more comfortable but still not quite right.

Is it because I'm leaning too far forward/ am I not sitting on the bike correctly/where on the seat should I be, (it's a large seat)??

Any thoughts/suggestions welcome, (let me re-phrase that, any useful thoughts/suggestions welcome:P)

Cheers:beerjug:

Maybe if you just took one twin out at a time it would be more comfortable??
Must be one heck of a squash with all 3 of you on the bike??......:D

Adjust the seat - front high, back low. Does it for me, anyway.

Get a lowrider or live with it. It's an age thing. Your average tosser has the twins hanging just above the knees I would guess. It goes with hair growing out of your ears/nose and smelling of wee.

i've tried all sorts of "remedies" for the same problem.

best so far - dont keep yer wallet in yer front trouser pocket - yes, i'm serious. :D

and buy some good supporting sports undies :rob - some reckon cycling shorts do the same.

Wot he said.
Ignore the "advice" in the handbook about not doing it, mine has been in that position after the first month of ownership.

Nope, I don’t smell of wee yet, but everything else has happened - :rob

tilt the bars back a bit, and do the seat trick, that seems to work, cycling shorts will keep things in order!

Off topic.. where in MK are you, its my old home town..

I agree with everything that's been said really, tilt the seat, special undies. I tend to wear the rukka shorts when on a long journey.

Failing that, Sargent seat :D

Sargent seat = :argue with the :wife as I've already spent enough money on the bike. Anyway, she doesn't want any more children and therefore doesn't care how uncomfortable Jim and the Twins are, (her words).

Thanks chaps
Ollie

funny u mentioned this as i have been having the same prob - easy remedy is adjust the seat so front is high and rear low, levels the seat out so no forward sliding, its still not perfect but 1000X better.

if Pinky, the twins and farmer giles are all giving you a load of bother.

I suggest you should consult a professional (and I'm not talking bodi, doyle or that bloke from upstairs down stairs).

Things improve with age, as you get older you will find they hang happily on either side of any seat....:D
