The dog carrier is from the USA (surprise surprise) http://moto-pets.com/ but I think they now have a european supplier which makes it cheaper because you won't have to pay customs. Check out their website. It certainely turns heads!!!
They come in 3 sizes. This is the medium size for our Jack Russel/Westy cross. Ronnie (the dog) absolutely loves it! You know what dogs are like in the car wanting their noses out the window!
G'morning Prof, I've been aiming to get one of these for Chester for a while now, but the price of importing one from the US is a bit prohibitive so I'm saving the pennies at the moment
Edit: Does anyone know if a 'Pet Carrier' would attract import duty & VAT?
Dickieboy... yes there is import duty if you get it from the USA. However, in the end we did buy it from a supplier in Holland whose website address I can't for the life of me remember! But if you email the USA website or give them a quick ring they are very helpful.
If you do get one, don't bother getting their mounting plate because in the end it's easier and quicker (and Cheaper!) to just fit it to the vario top box bracket with 4 wingnuts. If anyone wants more detailed fitting instructions just ask
Who has a 1200 with the standard top box and has opened up the top, fitted a curved plastic top with flat sides with ventilation holes cut in each side and his little terrier rides along with him.
I don't know if he is a UKGSer and have only seen him going coast bound - and wondered what the modification was for until one day I saw the little critter poke his head up for a look see, then duck down again.
