I couldn't care less about backlit switchgear it makes absolutely no difference to me and its not something ive ever felt ive needed in 35 years on a bike.
slick presentation in his usual style, avoided much reference to the price and to the competition by name, no doubt influenced by the fact he has the bike as a freebie, you don't bite the hand that feeds you.
I was actually thinking this last night, I was out on the bike, it was 2 degrees and I wanted to turn the heated grips up and although I can usually do it by feel, it took a couple of attempts to get the multi function button and then the up/down to do it. Backlit switches would have been greatly appreciated at that moment. You probably haven’t needed it but when a bike has a complicated menu system like the new 1300, backlit switchgear would help .

I think he might also have said nd I agree bit of a shame its lost a basic heated grip button and they've dumped it into a multi function menu!! one of the most used features in the uk! I did find it a bit of a faff adjusting that and the heated seat on my (albeit brief) testride. You probably haven’t needed it but when a bike has a complicated menu system like the new 1300, backlit switchgear would help .

Those of us with RTs have had to put up with going through the menu to adjust heated grips and seat since 2014. Never found it a problem, so adjusting to a GS1300 will be easyI think he might also have said nd I agree bit of a shame its lost a basic heated grip button and they've dumped it into a multi function menu!! one of the most used features in the uk!
