Can you do one for me this week please?

I was going to buy a new 1200 Adventure with all the bits on, but decided to spend my wad on my airhead. I'm still spending............![]()

I hope I like the end result JB, but If I don't, there are plenty of people wanting full spec airheads like mine.Moorespeed has two complete bike orders on the go right now as has plenty of enquiries from guys wanting to compete in desert rallies on airheads. Mine is being built to desert rally spec ,but will be a road bike mainly as I gave up off roading a few years ago following a nasty head on car smash ( I broke both forearms, wrists and a few fingers) so I'm confident I'd get a big chunk of my cash back if I hate the thing. I can't see it though, and my aim is to build a "bike for life" as I find modern stuff too boring. I can't wait for the 1st ride.

Apart from the yellow bevel-box, I can't believe ourTarquin is responsible for that.

Under the yellow paint on the bevel box was also red and purple paint!! The old girl had certainly a hard life, but is being brought back to better than new and will be on the roads for many years to come. Cost me an arm and a leg so far,but will be worth every penny spent. It's going to go like a greased weasel when finished,I can't wait. It's going back to Moorespeed at the end of the month for the handmade exhaust and a few other bits of fabrication, then final painting of the tank and plastics and the remaining bits n bobs to get it running ( final wiring and cables etc) so a Xmas prezzie for me.![]()
Don't forget the pics!

JB, I've offered Rob Farmer a go on it ,so if our paths cross at a meet/event,you're welcome to have a go too. I've specced it for fast road and the Wilbers has been specced for this too. To put it into full offroad spec would only require a change of rear shock and a fiddle with the forks and change of tyres. I've retained the bings (40mm from 32mm) for torque, but a swap to Kehin CR would release about 7/8 hp at the wheel more, but lose some torque. It'll rev to about 9,250 comfortably and Moorespeed are working on an electronic replacement for the bean can to enable more revs. I can't wait to see the dyno runs when we get it there (hopefully 1st week in Dec).
9,250 - anything have to be done to the valve train to sustain this level of revs?
...................missed the reference to revs
