Hi Guys

Do the Tourance tyres make a rumbling noise when riding on certain types of tarmac.
I heard a sort of noise like what a landrover would make the other day so got home and checked the rear wheel for play, there was ever so slightly movement but nothing major,
So done some reading on here today and did all the tests for the final drive, 12-6 oclock and slight movement but really got to push pull, spun the wheel no noise at all, runs smooth and no vibes from the housing when the wheel is spinning.
Is it just me getting paronoid about the noise or is it just the tyres???

It has only happend a couple of times both in different places on the road

P.s going to drop the oil when doing the clutch. and the final drive had its bearings done 9K miles ago

Yep. Tourances make a noise... and yse...whatever tyres I have on lose pressure if the bike is laid-up for a bit.

:beerjug:

Phew thought thats what is was as the noise is not there all the time, so my thinking is if the final drive had gone again then the noise would be there constantly.

Ran Tourances for the last 5 years, always heard a noise, seems to be worse from the front tyre on cornering and more noticeable on smooth fresh tarmac, quieter in the rain (like everything).

Relax. :comfort
