thinking about an 1100 or 1150

Hi, I am yet another Fazer 600 owner who is thinking of jumping ship! I was a 750/6 owner once upon a time so a return to the fold may be called for. I prefer the look of the 1150 GS but it seems the majority of people favour the 1100 for build quality, etc. Is there a definitive comparison that I could read? Thanks, looking forward to becoming a regular contributor here, BTW, that guy who posted his video of the TT course is barking! He can marry my daughter anytime!!!!

You could use the ancient method of I Double D S of descision making. I think it was first used by Roman Gladiators to decide who would next enter arena.

It goes like this....

1. line up all the options.

2. Raise arm out in front of you with you index finger out streched in a pointing fashion.( Thumb held perpendicular to finger optional)

3. Point at each option and repeat this phrase in a rythmical fashion......................

Until you are only left with one option.

Longdog, get a Blue and White 1150.. by far the best colour combination...

If you prefer the 1150 then go with it.. My 1150 was the first GS I've owned, and I'm totally happy with it.... Some prefer the 1100 but its down to personal choice.....

When I bought my 1150 I had a look at an 1100 and one thing I preferred on the 1150 was the layout of the clocks and the controls. I test rode both bikes and the 1150 was the one for me.

Thanks Twotter One thing that I have read is about the ease of maintenance on the 1100s, Surely the same can be said of the 1150s?

I've had both the 1100 and the 1150. Both are as easy to work on as the other. I've enjoyed both bikes, but I give the nod overall to the 1150, mainly thanks to the 6th gear (overdrive ratio) for more relaxed cruising.
