All I can say is make sure you ride it for at least an hour. After 60 miles today I had to take it back. It was a loan bike while mine was in for service.
It was soooooooooooo painful.
They've also taken nearly all the foam out of the seat too and while the GS now sits 4 or more inches lower than the standard it is so uncomfortable, I can't see many people crossing continents on them!

So you are left with a thin seat with little padding.
BM for trying to make the bike available to more riders, I would recommend a thorough sit on the bike before you part with your cash - 'cos even today I don't really want to sit on a bike!
