I'm thinking about selling my 6 month old 07 GSA , i'm only using it to go back and forth to work a 26 mile round trip in and out of london. I't a bit of a waste of a bike .

What is the second hand market like at the moment , i've had a look around and have not found that many for sale , what are people actualy paying for bikes at the moment as private buy's.

I paid £9k for mine last November at a dealer with 3k miles on the clock (non abs, non computer, grips & spots in white)

I hate to think what it's worth now its done 14,500 miles

So what are you asking for it?? or are you just fishing?:aidan :augie :)

PICS Please

I'm trying to find out what realisticly they are selling for , there is tade price so to speak and there are the prices dealers are trying to sell them for. what are the actualy worth. When i bought mine they were like rocking horse poo and there were no deals about. whats happening in the market know?

I will only move it on if i can get enough back on it to buy something smaller and put some cash back in the bank, its has all the bits on it, panniers topbox , abs , computer , alarm , white indicators, chrome headers etc, bar the spotlights from memory, also have some lowered pegs and the originals , extended handaguards , front mudguard extender, and tobonators. i was hopeing to achieve £9750 - £9950 for it its done 2750 miles at the moment.

I don't have a any picks of it at the moment, not got round to taking any since i bought it. as my original post juts toying with the idea at the moment.

Why did you buy an ADV only to commute on? :nenau

My back is knackerd, so i needed something with plenty of legroom and a upright riding position to get to work and back , i also thought i may have the chance to go on some trips on it but , that aint going to happen, as any more than an hour in the saddle and i lose the feeling in my hand due to my back .

Lastly because i liked the look of it !

All the papers will give me is peopls asling price what the end up selling for you never find out unless you can get some feed back form some where like here hence the post

not sure if this helps or not, but I bought my 1200 gsa last week, its 4 months old, 2.5k, ally top box but no panniers, htd grips, computer, white lenses, a few TT extras but no abs....err think thats it.

Paid £8k.

As I say, not sure if it helps you as I dont know how many genuine punters he had interested. Had it got ABS it would have been sold 100 times over

Thanks , i have just spoken to a dealer who i have spoken to in the past and seems to be fairly straight , and he thought that , with ABS and all the other bits, 10k would be a fair private sale , as per my previous post , that a bit more than i thought but as always its only worth what someone is prepared to pay at any given time !

£8K seem a very good buy without abs or not to me .

I think i will give it a clean and put it up for sale and see how things go.

I think that with your specs, extras and mileage, assuming its in excellent condition, then £9500 to £9850 seems a fair price to ask. One thing you might want to consider, take the topbox and panniers off and use these as either a bargaining tool or sell them separately. This might help you achieve the price you are looking for.

Good luck with you sale. :thumb

I bought my GSAdventure on 1st March '07. It's got almost 7000 miles on the clock, heated grips, computer, factory fitted spot lamps. The dealer has offered £9000 for it,in part exchange for a brand new K1200LT-SE.I've done the deal and get the K in about 2 weeks! Ah,comfort again!

ill give ya £8.9K cash as it stands if it's as good as you say.....steve

Had a think about things and i'm going to advertise it, i put an add in the for sale section before i get told off for useing the wrong section!
